Our goal is to breed versatile, traditional Australian Shepherds to the Breed Standard. Our priorities are physical, mental and genetic soundness. We would love to support the development of this wonderful
breed to maintain healthy, intelligent, active companions and family members. We follow breeding recommendations of ASGHI and Finnish Australian Shepherd Club. All our puppies will naturally be registered and examined by vet.

We expect our puppies to go active, responsible and loving homes. We respect owners who are willing to work and have fun with their dogs. Success in show rings is not among the most important things.

Kennel Patchcoat is situated in the commune of Liperi, a small village called Roukalahti, 35 km southwest from the town of Joensuu and 427 km north from the city of Helsinki.

Our family Aussies are Unelma and Pami. We have also two domestic cats Börje and Onni. Aussie Elsa is living in Hämeenlinna with Pirjo. Aussie Mai is living in Vantaa with Hanna and aussie Roosa is living in Asikkala with Marida. We also have contract for breeding two aussie females: North Legends Daydream and Patchcoat Queenie.


I was brought up among dogs, horses and other animals. My dear husband Hannu also loves animals. We got our first Aussie Unelma in summer 2000. We are forever thankful to kennel North Legends for this wonderful beauty!
